I think this is a great paper regarding the positive impact of wildlife in the blue gym on cognitive functioning. It’s only the abstract but didn’t know if anyone might be interested http://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/berg/anthroz/1993/00000006/00…
There’s actually quite a bit of research out there regarding dolphin assisted therapy and behaviour modification for children with severe disabilities, I think it’s a brilliant concept that blue spaces can be used in this way.
